Jesus rejects no one who comes to Him in sincerity and faith. Jesus wants to save. Jesus takes no delight in seeing us suffer. We will never know the depth of desperation and anguish that drove N. to do something so extreme. Only N. and God know for sure. And so, we can trust that the God who sees and knows all will take account of the burden of pain N. lived with and died with, and that God will have mercy on him/her. We can live with the hope that N. is now relieved of that pain forever.
Now, that pain is on our shoulders. God wants to be with us as we carry our burden of grief today and into the future. That God who rejects no one and who wants all to be saved, is now at work to somehow…
